Diagnostic Ultrasound study is always performed by board certified technologist and read by a Licensed Radiologist.

Patients that are not prepped will be rescheduled for a later time, if available, or a different date.  Patient must drink water & must be finished ONE HOUR BEFORE the appointment time and come with a full bladder. (You must refrain from going to the restroom, until we see you and are instructed to empty by the sonographer).


Pelvic U/S:

Patient must drink 24 oz. of water & must be finished ONE HOUR BEFORE the appointment time and must come with a full bladder. (You must refrain from going to restroom, until we see you and instructed to empty by sonographer)

Abdomen U/S, Renal Doppler or Abdominal Aorta Doppler:

Patient must fast 4 to 6 hours the night prior to appointment time. That means the patient may not eat, chew gum/candy, or drink anything. 

Renal/Bladder U/S:

Patient must drink 24 oz. of water & be finished ONE HOUR BEFORE the appointment time and come with a full bladder. (You must refrain from going to restroom, until we see you and instructed to empty by sonographer)

Prostate U/S:

Patient must drink 24 oz. of water & be finished ONE HOUR BEFORE the appointment time and come with a full bladder. (You must refrain from going to the restroom, until we see you and are instructed to empty by the sonographer).

Breast U/S:

If the patient has had a mammogram done in the past, they must bring in prior reports, and films/images to appointment.  Patients 40 years of age or older, a mammogram must be done prior to scheduling breast ultrasound (no exceptions)

EKG:

Patient cannot use any body lotions, oils or any other type of moisturizer. Paciente no puede usar loción, ni aceites o ningún tipo de crema hidratante.
